The Toronto Blue Jays acquired relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez and cash considerations from the Baltimore Orioles in a trade deal on Tuesday.

Baltimore received pitching prospect Juaron Watts-Brown, who was ranked the No. 10 prospect in the Blue Jays system.

MLB Pipeline already has Watts-Brown as the Orioles' new No. 8 prospect following the trade.

Dominguez was first acquired by the Orioles at the 2024 trade deadline and now he's on the move again to a Blue Jays team that boasts one of the best records (63-45) in baseball.

The 30-year-old reliever switched clubhouses ahead of the second game of the Orioles-Blue Jays doubleheader on Tuesday.

Dominguez is having a nice season so far, tossing a 3.24 earned run average in 41.2 innings with 54 strikeouts. He is currently in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted heading into the offseason.

As for Watts-Brown, the 23-year-old prospect is starting to shine as he quickly made his way up to Double-A ball for the Blue Jays. This season, the young starting pitcher is throwing a 3.48 ERA in 11 starts with 53 strikeouts and 38 hits in 51.2 innings.

Opponents are batting an a low .201 against Watts-Brown this season in Double-A, showing the potential to be in the MLB sooner rather than later.

Despite lighting up the Blue Jays the past two games, the Orioles still hold one of the worst records (49-58) and will look to get nice returns for possible trade pieces ahead of the 31st trade deadline.
