We're now at the business end of this week's tournaments, with Naomi Osaka, Jasmine Paolini, Daniil Medvedev and a number of other top players all in quarter-final action across Europe and Asia today.

10:55 CET - Second seed Jasmine Paolini has come through a thrilling quarter-final clash in Ningbo, with the Italian recovering from a set down to defeat Belinda Bencic 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in well over three hours.

09:52 CET - Australia's Jordan Duckworth is the first man through to the semi-finals in Almaty after a superb 6-3, 6-2 victory over third seed Flavio Cobolli.

Meanwhile, in Osaka, Sorana Cirstea has advanced to the last four courtesy of a topsy-turvy 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 win against Viktorija Golubic.

The day's action is already underway, with Leylah Fernandez progressing to the semi-finals in Japan after a 7-6(2), 6-3 win over Rebecca Sramkova, while home hero Naomi Osaka has pulled out of her last-eight clash against Jaqueline Cristian after failing to recover from a leg injury.

Things are now beginning in China too, where Jasmine Paolini is facing Belinda Bencic in the Ningbo quarter-finals, knowing a win will secure her place at the WTA Finals.
