Tennis Tracker: Kudermetova dumped out in Guadalajara, Jovic battles past Osorio

There's more Latin American action in the world of tennis today, with some big names on the WTA tour taking to the court in Brazil and Mexico, including Iva Jovic, Jelena Ostapenko and Beatriz Haddad Maia.

06:45 CET - Play is all done for the day in Sao Paulo, while over in Guadalajara, the final match of Thursday is currently suspended due to rain - that's between fourth seed Magdalena Frech and Lucrezia Stefanini.

05:25 CET - It is a great win for Iva Jovic as she takes out the eighth seed Camila Osorio 6-4, 6-2 in Guadalajara to progress.

01:55 CET - It is a win for Beatriz Haddad Maia as she defeats fellow Brazilian Laura Pigossi 6-1, 6-4 in Sao Paulo to advance to the quarter-finals.

01:35 CET - Elsa Jacquemot comes from a set down to stun Elise Mertens in another Guadalajara upset. The Frenchlady prevails 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

01:10 CET - We have an upset in Guadalajara, as Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva stuns the two seed Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 6-2.

00:15 CET - Emiliana Arango progresses to the quarter-finals after Guadalajara after topping world number 1,269 Storm Hunter 6-2, 6-2.

22:26 CET - There is more rain in Guadalajara, and the start of play has been delayed as a result.

21:44 CET - Fifth seed Renata Zarazua is the first winner of the day in Sao Paulo, seeing off Turkish player Berfu Cengiz in just over an hour and a half, 6-4, 6-4. She has booked her spot in the quarter-finals.

We have a rising star in early action in Mexico as young American Iva Jovic takes to the court against Camila Osorio before world number 24 Jelena Ostapenko faces Marina Stakusic in the early hours of the morning.
