Denmark's star striker, Pernille Harder from Bayern Munich, is doubtful for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Italy in the Parken Stadium on Saturday after she was involved in a head collision in the 2-1 win against Sweden in Gothenburg.

The victory in Sweden came with a high price as Pernille Harder left the pitch after an hour, after a head collision with an ice pack on her nose.

But now the next important World Cup qualifier is approaching as the Danes will face Italy in Copenhagen tomorrow afternoon.

"For now, things are going well, and she is following the plan in terms of getting ready, but when there is such a short distance between the matches, it is about taking it day by day, and it will be a decision right up to the deadline", says national team coach Jakob Michelsen.

The doubts about Pernille Harder have, of course, made the national coach look around for alternatives, but he also says that Denmark does not have anyone as good as Harder.

"We hope she will be ready and able to start the match. And if not, then it is our task to find the best possible alternative", says Jakob Michelsen.
