Ghanaian supporters heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup now have a clear picture of what it will cost to watch the Black Stars in the group stage, with official ticket prices ranging from $140 to $600 depending on the match and seating category.

The figures, released as part of FIFA’s Random Selection Draw ticketing window, show significant variations across Ghana’s three fixtures against Panama, England and Croatia

Ghana open their campaign against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto, where Category Three tickets start at $140, Category Two at $380 and Category One at $450.

The second match, a high-profile meeting with England at Gillette Stadium in Boston, carries the highest price range: $220 for Category Three, $430 for Category Two and $600 for premium Category One seats.

Ghana then complete the group against Croatia at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, with seats priced at $180, $400 and $500 respectively.

These prices reflect the tournament’s wider trend as higher demand for European opposition and larger US stadiums naturally drives costs upward, with the England fixture unsurprisingly topping the pricing table.

How to get a ticket for Ghana’s World Cup group games

FIFA’s Random Selection Draw, currently open, is the main pathway for fans seeking face-value tickets.

Supporters must create or log into their FIFA Ticketing account, select their preferred matches and categories, and submit an application before the window closes on January 13, 2026.

Because this is a lottery-based phase, applying does not guarantee a ticket. Fans will be notified via email if they are successful, and payment will be processed automatically during the billing window provided by FIFA.

Unsuccessful applicants can still try again in future sales phases or through FIFA’s official resale marketplace, the only safe secondary option.

Fans are also reminded that a match ticket does not guarantee entry into the United States, Canada or Mexico as visas and travel documentation must be secured separately.

The bigger picture (affordability and demand)

The Random Selection Draw comes amid wider criticism of ticket prices for 2026, with fan groups and media highlighting the sharp rise in face values and the potential for inflated resale prices.

That context is important for Ghanaian fans weighing whether to buy at face value or seek alternative routes (such as national-association supporter allocations or travel packages).

Using the Bank of Ghana’s Thursday exchange rate of $1 to GHS 11.4, the cost of attending Ghana’s group matches translates to roughly GHS 1,600 to GHS 6,860.

To put that into perspective, Ghana’s national daily minimum wage stands at GHS 19.97. At that income level, a worker would need to save about 80 days’ worth of wages just to afford the cheapest World Cup ticket.

Moreover, that’s even before factoring in the additional expenses of securing a visa, booking flights and paying for accommodation.
