18:20 CET - Barcelona have secured an important win in their season after coming from a goal down to win 3-1 against Alaves and move to the top of LaLiga. The pressure has been put on Real Madrid to win tomorrow night and return to the summit.

18:00 CET - A thrilling afternoon in the Premier League with goals galore has come to a close! Manchester City made hard work of it after an inspired Leeds United comeback, but a brilliant strike late on from Phil Foden secured a vital 3-2 win.

There was another Premier League classic further up north as Sunderland came from 2-0 down against Bournemouth to win 3-2 in front of their home supporters to move into the Premier League top four!
Finally, Brentford continued their impressive home form with a dominant 3-1 win against Premier League strugglers Burnley.

17:40 CET - It is team news time as Newcastle United travel to Everton in the Premier League from 18:30 CET, Bayer Leverkusen take on Borussia Dortmund also from 18:30 CET, and Juventus host Cagliari in Serie A from 18:00 CET.

With no early kick-offs in the Premier League today, the weekend starts in Serie A, with two games getting underway at 15:00 CET.
One of those matches is a vital one in the fight for survival, as rock-bottom Verona travel to 18th-placed Genoa in search of their first Serie A victory of the season.
Having remarkably drawn six games though, a win for the visitors would see them leapfrog Genoa and move within one point of 17th-placed Lecce.
It is also a big day for Danielle De Rossi as the new Genoa coach takes charge of just his third game after replacing Patrick Viera earlier this month.
In the other early kick-off, Parma will be hoping to put some distance between themselves and the relegation battle with a win at home to Udinese. Later on, Juventus and Milan are also in action.
