Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson could be set to join Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Robertson, 31, sees his contract expire this summer, and questions have been raised surrounding his future in what looks to be his final season at the club after over nine incredibly successful years.

Asked earlier this season if he would like to stay, he said: "Yes, but it's a difficult question.

"I've got five months left, and we need to see what the option is to stay or if there are options to go and things like that. I need to sit down with my family and decide.

"After a stressful summer, I'm just trying to enjoy being a part of it and being a Liverpool player."

Now, transfer guru David Ornstein has revealed that Tottenham are aiming to lure him away in what is the final chance Liverpool have to cash in on the Scottish international.

“Tottenham Hotspur working on deal to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool," posted Ornstein.

"#THFC brought forward plan to vie for 31yo #LFC left-back as free agent this summer; not done but talks between all parties advancing in bid to reach agreement."

Robertson had attracted interest from Atletico Madrid over the summer, but the defender chose to stay in Merseyside as he sought to see out his contract.

The veteran joined Liverpool from Hull City, following their relegation from the Premier League in 2017 for just £8 million, meaning the Reds have certainly got their money's worth.

Whether he will be tempted by a move to North London is yet to be known, but it is likely that there will be a big part of him keen on staying with Liverpool to say a full goodbye at the end of the season.
