Fernandes was named the PFA Football Writers Player of the Year and has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year Award.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed an exceptional individual campaign at Manchester United. He is only one assist away from breaking the Premier League record of 21 in a single campaign, held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Complimenting his incredible creativity with eight strikes and the Portuguese maestro has produced a whopping 29 goal involvements in England's top-flight this term.
It's the sort of world-class numbers that should land him every individual award, and United's No. 8 would have surely added even more goals to his name with Rice playing alongside him.
“I’ve always said, Rice was a player to play for Man Utd, I was really sad when he chose to go Arsenal," Bruno said in an interview with Joel Baya.
“I always thought he would be a perfect fit for our club.”
He admitted that Rice would have been a "perfect fit" for Man United and was "sad" when he joined Arsenal from West Ham for a whopping £105 million in 2023.
Rice was on United's radar back in 2021 when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge, with the former manager even admitting there were discussions about landing his signature.
In the end, a deal never materialised and United moved for Raphael Varane instead.
