Aston Villa football chief Monchi is fighting for his job after a tough opening month of the season.
The Spaniard, reports the Daily Mail, is facing the axe at Villa Park over the poor performance of recent signings.
It's claimed Monchi could now be forced out, despite his hands being tied this past summer due to Profit & Sustainability rules.
Villa are yet to win this season and a draw with Sunderland on Sunday had manager Unai Emery branding his players as "lazy".
The Villans return to Europe on Thursday as they meet Bologna in their first game of the Europa League.
