Feyenoord have sold Argentine striker Julian Carranza to Mexican side Club Necaxa following the termination of his loan period at Leicester City.

The 25-year-old Carranza signs a five-year contract at Club Necaxa, who reportedly pay around €3.5 million for the Argentine striker.

Last summer, Feyenoord loaned the 25-year-old striker out to Leicester City, where the Argentinian appeared in nine games and failed to score a single goal.

The former Banfield, Inter Miami and Philadelphia Union striker arrived at Feyenoord in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer, but didn't live up to expectations after scoring just five goals in 30 appearances in his debut season for the Rotterdam giants.

Feyenoord will continue their season with Ayase Ueda, Cyle Larin, Casper Tengstedt and Shaqueel van Persie, manager Robin van Persie's son, as their options at the striker position.
