Goalkeeper

Victor Braga (Al Najma) - 8.6

Brazilian goalkeeper Victor Braga may be in the twilight of his career at 38, but he is still putting in some fine displays. The Al Najma stopper was in good form over the weekend, making six out of seven saves in his side's 2-1 Saudi Pro League win over Al Kholood.

The only shot that got past him was a 92nd-minute penalty, showing he was exemplary in open play. His side will need more of that from him, as they still sit bottom of the standings with this victory, incredibly, their first of the campaign.

Defence

Vladimir Coufal (Hoffenheim) - 8.9

After a tough time against Bayern Munich last time out, Czech defender Vladimir Coufal roared back in his side's 3-0 win over Freiburg on Saturday.

He had two assists in the clash to go alongside his defensive work. The first, a deft dink into the box that was headed home by Fisnik Asllani, whilst the second was a corner kick, headed in by Ozan Kabak.

Coufal now has six assists in the Bundesliga this season, more than any other Hoffenheim player, showing just how important he is to their success.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (West Ham) - 9.7

From a former West Ham player to a current one, Konstantinos Mavropanos was dutiful in defence as his side limped to a 1-0 win over Burton Albion in the FA Cup.

The Hammers needed extra time to see off the League One outfit, and faced a portion of the game with 10 men, but the Greek centre-back was imperious throughout.

He made a game-high 18 clearances, whilst winning nine of his 12 aerial duels. Going forward, he created two chances, whilst having a passing accuracy of 85.7%. The Hammers will need more of that from him this season if they are to avoid the drop and have a good cup run.

Brayan Medina (Tondela) - 9.0

It's been a tough season for Tondela in Liga Portugal as they continue to fight for survival. Currently in 17th spot, and five points from safety, they picked up a valuable point at the weekend with a 1-1 draw at home to mid-table Alverca.

Colombian Brayan Medina picked up the assist for the host's leveller 10 minutes from time with a header from the back post into the path of the goalscorer Joao Silva. In defence, he made a team-high five clearances, whilst completing 93.9% of his passes to keep the team ticking along.

Midfield

Julian Ryerson (Borussia Dortmund) - 9.4

Across Europe's top five leagues before last weekend, 12 players were tied at the top of the record sheet with four assists in one game. A 13th was added on Friday night, as Julian Ryerson was lethal in Dortmund's 4-0 dismantling of Mainz.

The Norwegian has been the assist king all season long for his side. He now has 11 in the Bundesliga, with six coming in his last three games. But, Friday night was his zenith. The pick of the bunch was the second, the only one from open play, with a deft ball to the back post that was headed in by Maximilian Beier. The other three came from set plays, and his delivery is becoming feared across Germany's top flight.

Jorthy Mokio (Ajax) - 8.9

At just 17, Jorthy Mokio is making a name for himself at Ajax, and he put in an eye-catching performance in their 4-1 victory over Fortuna Sittard.

The Belgian teenager netted his second of the Eredivisie campaign with a composed finish to open the scoring before grabbing an assist later on.

Brajan Gruda (RB Leipzig) - 9.1

Back to the Bundesliga, where Brajan Gruda was in fine form despite RB Leipzig dropping points against Wolfsburg.

On loan from Brighton until the end of the season, the German starred in both goals for the East German side - his first goal contributions since moving in January.

His first goal for the club was made even more special as it came in the 89th minute to rescue a point. It was a beautiful finish too, slotting it into the top corner with a curling effort from 15 yards.

After making an immediate impact, he will hope he can kick on for the rest of the year.

Forwards

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) - 9.2

After his December outburst and his AFCON absence, Mohamed Salah is starting to find his form once again, showing what a threat he still is in Liverpool's cup victory over Brighton on Saturday.

The Egyptian scored a penalty to round off the game, but it was his slick pass to Dominik Szoboszlai that caught the eye. It was perfectly paced, allowing the Hungarian to run onto it and powerfully rifle it home.

He created four chances in the game and had five shots, a season high for the Reds in this year's FA Cup.

Mauro Icardi (Galatasaray) - 9.8

Mauro Icardi may not be Galatasaray's star striker anymore, but that isn't stopping the Argentine veteran from netting for fun. He scored a hat-trick in their 5-1 Super Lig win against Eyupspor, taking his tally for the season to 14.

Playing behind Victor Osimhen, he showed his smarts in the victory, picking up the ball in the pocket and driving forward. He also arrived into the box late and unmarked to be a threat.

Flawless throughout, his side will want him to continue his partnership with the Nigerian as they chase trophies domestically and in Europe this season.

Pedro Neto (Chelsea) - 9.2

Back to the FA Cup, where Liam Rosenior returned to his former side Hull City with his Chelsea charges, and the Blues were professional throughout, beating the Championship side 4-0 to progress into the fifth round.

At the heart of it was Pedro Neto. The winger scored a hat-trick to showcase his talents in the log-jam of wingers at Rosenior's disposal, with the first strike the best of the rest. It was a curling effort from outside the box that nestled into the bottom corner, and he didn't let up from there.

He is currently Chelsea's top scorer in the competition this season, unsurprisingly, but what is remarkable is that his three goals came from a combined xG of just 0.38. A clinical display from the winger.

Ivan Toney (Al Ahli) - 8.7

English striker Ivan Toney just can't stop scoring. After netting another in his side's 5-2 win over Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League, he now has 20 league goals in 20 games, with a further seven in all competitions.

The latest was not as glamorous as some, coming from the penalty spot, but it's his consistency that is making him a firm favourite in Jeddah.

With his goals, Al Ahli are third in the league, just three points behind unbeaten Al Hilal in the standings, in what is shaping up to be a fiery title race.
