In the other stand-out ties, Arsenal travel to Port Vale, Huddersfield take on Man City, Lincoln City face Chelsea, there's a south London derby as Crystal Palace were drawn against Millwall while Brentford play Aston Villa in one of two all-Premier League ties.
The Carabao Cup third round will take place over two weekends in September, with the first set of games scheduled for the week commencing 15th, with teams involved in the Champions League and Europa League set to compete week commencing 22nd.
To celebrate past winners, each team to have won the tournament will wear a special sleave patch this season to denote the number of times they have won the competition.
Liverpool hold the record for the most wins in the competition with nine.
Due to conditions set by the EFL, teams involved in European competitions could not be drawn against each other at this stage.
