During his time in Salzburg, he made an impressive 32 appearances in 35 matches (including the FIFA Club World Cup) before joining the sixth-placed team in the German second division.
"I would like to thank FC Red Bull Salzburg for the past few months. It was only a short time, but I felt very comfortable at the club and in the city. The move to Kaiserslautern is an exciting new challenge that I'm really looking forward to. I wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the rest of the season", says Jacob Rasmussen to club website.
"With Jacob, we're gaining a player who can further develop us through his qualities. These include his heading ability and game intelligence. Furthermore, his international experience has given him a strong mentality and leadership qualities both on and off the pitch. As a left-footed player, he also fits perfectly into our squad planning. We also believe that Jacob, with his career to date, can play an important role in the team and successfully contribute his experience," says Kaiserslautern Sporting Director Marcel Klos regarding the transfer.
