Week 2 of the NFL season has kick-started with an absolutely insane offensive frenzy as eight of the 13 winners from the games on Sunday scored at least 30 points!

Falcons 22-6 Vikings

With a Sunday slate of high-scoring games, the final game of the day was the lowest-scoring one. Only one touchdown was scored the entire game in this battle of field goals - and that came from Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier when the Vikings purposely let him score to get the ball back.

Falcons' newly promoted kicker Parker Romo hit all five of his field goals (longest - 54 yds) after the team benched Younghoe Koo. "The first (field goal) was definitely nerve-racking," said Romo after the game.

Atlanta put up 218 total rushing yards - 143 from Bijan Robinson on 22 attempts, 76 from Allgeier on 16 attempts. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed 13-of-21 pass attempts for 135 yards.

The Falcons' defence downright dominated the Vikings' offence, sacking quarterback J.J. McCarthy six times and forcing two interceptions. Minnesota finished with just 198 total yards of offence and four total turnovers.

Eagles 20-17 Chiefs

In what was actually one of the least exciting games in terms of offensive output, the Eagles beat the Chiefs yet again in a Super Bowl rematch. Kansas City's 0-2 start is the first time in franchise history since Patrick Mahomes became the starting quarterback.

Running back Saquon Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts had the Eagles' lone touchdowns (both on the ground) while kicker Jake Elliott went 2-for-2, including one from 58 yards to tie it all up heading into halftime.

The Chiefs attempted a comeback late in the fourth quarter after Mahomes launched a 49-yard touchdown to wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, but failed to recover the following onside kick.

Both teams failed to reach 300 yards of total offence, with the defences recording two sacks each.

Colts 29-28 Broncos

The Broncos had an opportunity to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but kicker Will Lutz dinked it off the post from 42 yards out to give Indy one more chance to win the game - needing only a field goal instead of a touchdown.

After failing to get going much on offence during the final drive, the Colts had a chance from 60 yards for kicker Spencer Shrader to hit one home, but it came up short. However, the Broncos were flagged for a 15-yard penalty after attempting to jump over the long snapper, putting Shrader more within range - and the Colts capitalized.

Shrader drilled the 46-yard field goal right down the middle to give Indy back-to-back wins.

Indy finished with 473 total yards (306 passing, 167 rushing) in a game that saw 19 total penalties.

Cardinals 27-22 Panthers

Despite the Panthers' 13-point effort in the fourth quarter and putting up 352 yards to Arizona's 293, it wasn't enough as the Cardinals held on to the win.

The Cardinals got out to a commanding 20-3 lead heading into halftime. And that's all they needed to secure back-to-back wins to start the season for the first time since 2021 - when they went 11-6.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young put up 328 yards and three touchdowns on 35-of-55 passing, with rookie Tetairoa McMillan leading the team in receiving (six receptions, 100 yards) for the second straight game.

Cardinals veteran Calais Campbell led the game with two sacks - one of them coming in the clutch to put the final nail in Carolina's coffin.

Cowboys 40-37 Giants

In the NFL's first overtime game of the 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys pulled out a thrilling win thanks to a pair of clutch field goals from Brandon Aubrey.

After the Cowboys went up with 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Giants QB Russell Wilson launched a 48-yard touchdown pass to Malik Nabers to take the lead.

Dallas recovered after quarterback Dak Prescott got Aubrey into field goal range. Well, for him it's within range. Aubrey nailed a 64-yard field goal with ease to send the game into overtime.

Then, after exchanging scoreless drives in overtime, the Cowboys got Aubrey into position to do what he does best as he sent the game-winning 46-yarder straight threw the uprights.

Wilson set a single-game career high with 450 passing yards as both teams put up a combined 984 yards (Giants - 506, Cowboys - 478).

Seahawks 31-17 Steelers

Seattle put up almost 400 total yards of offense while the Steelers were held to 267. Both teams forced two turnovers and committed two penalties each. Seattle got to quarterback Aaron Rodgers three times, while Seattle gave up a pair of sacks as well.

Steelers veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey earned his first interception of the season after coming off a game he made the game-saving pass breakup. Unfortunately for the black and yellow, rookie Kaleb Johnson made a crucial mistake that gave the Seahawks an easy touchdown en route to a win.

Lions 52-21 Bears

The 2024 No. 1 offence looked like their former selves after their Week 1 blunder, showing former offensive coordinator, now head coach of the Bears, Ben Johnson, that they're doing just fine without him. Detroit never let up on the gas pedal as they put up a whopping 511 total yards (334 passing, 177 rushing) and seven touchdowns.

The Sonic-Knuckles RB duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery put up a combined 151 yards and two touchdowns alone. Their No. 1 receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown exploded for 115 yards and three touchdowns on nine receptions, while their No. 2 Jameson Williams had 108 yards and one touchdown of his own.

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was sacked four times and tossed one interception before backup Tyson Bagent replaced him not too long before the game wrapped up.

Patriots 33-27 Dolphins

In a shocker with both teams not only putting up 300+ total yards, but also exchanged return touchdowns in back-to-back plays. Miami took the lead with this return touchdown by Malik Washington for 74 yards to go up 27-23.

But, just a moment later, Antonio Gibson runs the kickoff back to the house for New England to retake the lead 30-27.

New England would eventually kick a field goal to officially put it out of reach en route to their first win of the season.

The back-to-back returns were the second time in NFL history that a punt return touchdown was followed by a kick return touchdown. The first? In Week 2 of the 1992 season from Desmond Howard and Deion Sanders (according to OptaSTATS).

Ravens 41-17 Browns

Baltimore beat the brakes off their division rival to celebrate their 30th Anniversary. Despite the Browns sacking quarterback Lamar Jackson three times and holding the No. 1 rushing offence to just 45 total yards and no touchdowns, the Ravens dominated through the air.

Jackson went 19-for-28 with 225 yards and four touchdowns through the air, scoring 21 in the fourth quarter alone. Baltimore is now the only team in the NFL to have scored at least 40 points in the first two weeks of the season.

Two-year receiver Devontez Walker put up two touchdowns on his two receptions, while two-year cornerback Nate Wiggins earned his first interception of the season.

Veteran linebacker Roquan Smith had one of the best games of his career - recording 15 tackles, three tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Meanwhile, Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett put up five tackles, two tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.

Bills 30-10 Jets

In more division action, the Bills dominated the Jets - holding them to just 154 yards of total offence. Bills put up 224 total yards on the ground, with running back James Cook racking up 132 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

New York Jets starting quarterback Justin Fields left the game at the start of the fourth quarter after his head slammed into the ground when Bills defensive end Joey Bosa tackled him. Backup Tyrod Taylor took his place, with neither quarterback being able to eclipse 60 yards in the air.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen left the game momentarily after his nose was gushing blood, but played it off. Buffalo put up 403 yards of total offence and dominated the possession time (38:21 - 21:39).

Bengals 31-27 Jaguars

Cincinnati pulled away with a Pyrrhic victory after losing starting quarterback Joe Burrow to a major foot injury that left him in a boot. Backup quarterback Jake Browning threw three interceptions, but managed to help the Bengals scrape by for their second win of the season.

The game saw five total turnovers (all interceptions) and 750 total yards (JAX - 400, CIN -350). Reigning triple crown winner Ja'Marr Chase led all receivers with 14 receptions, 165 yards, and a touchdown. Jags running Travis Etienne Jr. racked up 71 yards on the ground and 18 receiving, along with a touchdown.

Jags rookie Travis Hunter, after playing more snaps at cornerback this week, allowed just one reception for 16 yards on two targets (31 pass coverage snaps) with two tackles and one pass deflection.

49ers 26-21 Saints

Despite the 49ers being without Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and even fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who left the game with an injury, San Fran managed to find a way thanks to backup QB Mac Jones' 279 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

After forcing the 49ers to punt twice in the fourth quarter after cutting the lead to 26-21, New Orleans failed to get anything going.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara led all rushers with 99 yards on 21 carries. 49ers' Jauan Jennings led all receivers with 89 yards, including a touchdown. And Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler had a solid game, throwing for 207 yards and three touchdowns himself.

Rams 33-19 Titans

After what looked like a brewing upset when the Titans held a 13-10 lead over the Rams heading into halftime, the latter exploded for 23 points in the second half to win back-to-back games.

Davante Adams led all receivers with 106 yards, including his first touchdown, as the Rams put up 439 yards of total offence (298 passing, 149 rushing) to the Titans' 252.

Titans running back Tony Pollard led all rushers with 92 yards on 20 carries while rookie QB Camn Ward went 19-33 passing with 175 yards and one touchdown.

Tennessee has now given up at least five sacks (11 total) in back-to-back games to start the year.
