Tim Stutzle put Ottawa in front with 7:33 left in regulation, but they could not hold on. Fourth line winger Ivan Demidov got an equalizer with 2:23 left.

Both the San Jose Sharks and Colorado Avalanche held leads in their game. Nathan MacKinnon tied things up for the Avs with 10:50 to go.
However, it turned out to not be enough for the Avalanche to claim a victory. Philipp Kurashev netted in overtime to give the Sharks a 3-2 home success.
Connor double sees Jets past Pens

Vladislav Namestnikov made it 3-0 a minute and change after the restart, with the Penguins finding themselves with their backs against the walls. Kyle Connor added a fourth via a power play to strengthen the Jets' chances of winning.
Sidney Crosby did get one back for them just before the end of the second period, before Blake Lizotte scored another at the halfway mark of the third. That was as far as Pittsburgh got though, as Connor added an empty net goal to round out the scoring.
The Toronto Maple Leafs also prevailed 5-2 on Saturday, beating the Philadelphia Flyers on the road. Five different players found the back of the net for the Buds, who put an end to their opponents' three-game winning streak.

In Buffalo, a thrilling opening 20 minutes, where there were five goals, saw the Sabres come away with a 4-3 shootout success over the Washington Capitals. Bowen Byram was the only player to convert his penalty attempt, ending the Sabres' three-game losing skid. It was their fourth successive contest to require overtime.
A pair of goals within the space of two minutes in the final frame helped the Minnesota Wild to a 5-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks.
The final two games of the night ended with overtime victories, both by the same scoreline. Evan Bouchard was the hero for the Edmonton Oilers in a 3-2 win over the visiting Chicago Blackhawks.
As for the New York Rangers, they managed to get over the line against the Seattle Kraken. Despite giving up the lead twice, Will Cuylle netted midway through overtime to give his team a 3-2 success.
