New York Rangers defenceman Adam Fox (27) was placed on the injured reserve list following an upper-body injury sustained during Tuesday's game against their rival New York Islanders.

Fox left the game in the third period after a collision in front of the net where his shoulder broke his fall to the ice.

He was seen grabbing his shoulder while leaving the ice but the team expects him to be back sometime later in the season.

Fox is coming off of a disappointing performance at the 4 Nations Face-Off for Team USA.

Multiple media outlets brought the house down on him, even saying he ruined his chances at being a part of the team during the 2026 Olympics.

The three-time All-Star and former Norris Trophy (best defenceman) award winner is having a solid season for the Rangers with five goals and 43 assists (48 points).

Fox has spent all six years of his career with the Rangers and is currently under a seven-year, $66 million contract that won't expire until 2029.

The Rangers beat the Islanders 5-1 and will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 28th.
