Thanks to a 25-21 win at home against Storhamar, Odense booked their ticket to the Champions League quarter-finals on Sunday.

"I think we played really good actually. We created a lot of chances but in the second half we didn't hit the goal enough. Defensively we were very good and overall it was a good performance", said Odense coach Ole

Following a 33-20 away win over Storhamar in the first leg, only a collapse of historic proportions would turn the tide in Norwegian favor and rob Odense of the last place in the Champions League quarter-finals .

With Storhamar only winning two away matches in their history in the EHF Champions League, it was always going to be an uphill battle for the Norwegian side although they took a 4-1 lead after six minutes.

As all but one outfield player scored at least one goal for Odense, the Danish side quickly bounced back and had a comfortable five-goal lead, 16-11, at the break.

Malen Aardahl and Helene Gigstad Fauske combined for 10 goals, and the home side did not stop until the end, registering the largest aggregate win in the play-offs and will gear up for the doubleheader against FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria who are coached by Danish Allan Heine  in the quarter-finals.

Team Esbjerg will meet CSM Bucuresti in their quarter-final.
