Meanwhile, the final bit of Bundesliga action is just minutes away.

After Bayern Munich's stunning loss to Augsburg earlier on, Borussia Dortmund can cut the gap at the top of the table to eight points if they can beat Union Berlin in the German capital.

17:54 CET - All over in the Premier League, where Fulham have come from a goal behind to win it in stoppage time against Brighton. Another goal from one of their star men, Harry Wilson, late on was enough to earn the Cottagers all three points in a 2-1 victory.

Elsewhere, Cristian Romero may well have saved Thomas Frank's job as his bullet header saw Tottenham salvage a point away to Burnley in a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have picked up all three points in a 2-0 win over Wolves, but have looked less than convincing with the away side creating plenty of chances without breaking the dam.

One more Premier League game to come today, as Liverpool travel to Bournemouth looking to extend their unbeaten run. Andy Robertson is on the bench for the Reds as rumours swirl about the Scot heading to Tottenham, whilst Cody Gakpo comes in for the rotated Hugo Ekitike.

Bayern still have a 11-point lead at the top of the table, but the chasing pack have closed, with RB Leipzig beating Hedenheim 3-0, Hoffenheim seeing off Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1, and Bayer Leverkusen sneaking past Werder Bremen by a single goal.

The win for Augsburg also propels them away from the relegation zone, and there was a vital result for Mainz, beating Wolfsburg 3-1 at home, moving them up two places to 16th in the standings.

11:00 CET - Good morning and welcome to a fascinating weekend of football across Europe.

There are important games in the context of the season wherever you look today. The action gets underway from 13:30 CET as relegation-battling West Ham host high-flying Sunderland in a crucial game for under-pressure manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Elsewhere in the Premier League today, another under-fire manager, Thomas Frank, leads his team to Turf Moor as Burnley host Spurs. Also at 16:00 CET, Manchester City have the chance to put pressure on league leaders Arsenal (who host Man United tomorrow) when they host bottom-of-the-table Wolves

Over to Ligue 1 and the big game of the day comes from the evening as third-placed Marseille host second-placed Lens. Victory for the visitors will see them return to the league's summit and above holders PSG so there is plenty on the line.

In Germany today, runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich host Augsburg from 15:30 CET in what Vincent Kompany will be hoping is a routine win on the road to what feels like an inevitable title.

And finally, in LaLiga, it is the last match of the day which headlines alongside Ligue 1 as shock title contenders Villarreal host second-placed Real Madrid in what is set to be a box-office clash. After Real Madrid's emphatic win in the Champions League midweek, it will be fascinating if Alvaro Arbeloa can get the same tune out of his side for a vital game in LaLiga.
