22:57 CET - In the final Premier League match of the round, Tottenham have beaten Fulham 2-0 thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min and James Maddison.

The win lifts Spurs to the top of the league table and clear of Manchester City and Arsenal by two points.

22:54 CET - Two first-half goals have taken Valencia to a 2-0 win over 10-man Cadiz in LaLiga.

22:45 CET - Fiorentina have been stunned at home by Empoli. The match finished 2-0 to the visitors, who have climbed out of the bottom three in Serie A with the win. Fiorentina, meanwhile, have dropped out of the top four.

20:27 CET - A late Roberto Piccoli goal for Lecce has denied Udinese their first win of the season.

The result means Udinese have now six draws and three losses from nine in Serie A. Lecce remain in mid-table.

19:05 CET - Ajax, languishing second bottom of the Eredivisie, have parted ways with Maurice Steijn, meaning they'll be without a permanent manager for their trip to Brighton on Thursday. 

18:00 CET - We are nearing kick-off in the first Serie A clash of the evening - Udinese versus Lecce.

Lecce are sitting comfortably in mid-table but hosts Udinese are really struggling this season. Incredibly, all five of their league points have come from draws, meaning that are yet to win after eight matches.

They will be desperate to get something out of this one.

16:40 CET - It's hard to pick out one standout team over the weekend in Europe. In Italy, Inter stayed topped with an impressive 3-0 win over Torino. While in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen stayed top themselves with a 2-1 win on the road at Wolfsburg.

In LaLiga, Real Madrid dropped points at Sevilla meaning little Girona went level on points with Real after they smashed Almeria 5-2 - can they keep up the run?

In the Premier League, Aston Villa continues to be one of the form teams - they beat West Ham 4-1 and remain in the top five.
