The Green Bay Packers will reportedly release two-time All-Pro CB Jaire Alexander after seven seasons with the team.

The Louisville product was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft with the 18th overall pick, and quickly grew to be one of the NFL's premier corners. Alexander is a two-time Second-team All-Pro with nominations in 2020 and 2022.

According to several sources, the Packers tried to restructure Alexander's contract before he was owed $17.5M in 2025. Alexander missed ten games in both 2023 and 2024. The 28-year-old stalwart signed a four-year, $84M contract in May 2023, but came to just 14 starts in the two following seasons.

In seven seasons with the four-time Super Bowl Champions, Alexander totalled 315 tackles, 75 passes defensed, 14 interceptions, 13 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a safety in 95 games.

With the release, the Packers take on a dead cap of $7.5 million in 2025 and $9.5 million in 2026.
